The Israeli occupation military has continued its artillery shelling and airstrikes across various areas of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of several Palestinian citizens and injuries to others.
According to a statement from the Gaza Ministry of Health, the occupation forces targeted the surgical building within the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, which housed numerous patients and wounded individuals. This attack caused fatalities and a significant fire at the site.
Sources within Hamas informed Qatar News Agency (QNA) correspondent that one of the victims was Ismail Barhoum, a senior Hamas leader and member of its political bureau. He was killed in the surgical room of the Nasser Medical Complex while receiving treatment for critical injuries sustained in an earlier Israeli strike.
Medical sources also reported the death of a young girl and injuries caused by an Israeli drone dropping a bomb on civilians in the Al Rayyan area, northeast of Rafah in southern Gaza. Additionally, a child succumbed to injuries from an Israeli strike on his family's home in the New Camp area of Al Nuseirat in central Gaza, bringing the death toll from that attack to four.
Medical sources have confirmed that approximately 50 individuals have been killed in Israeli airstrikes across various parts of Gaza since dawn today.
