The number of Uzbek citizens traveling outside the country rose 23.6 percent during the first four months of this year, according to official statistics.
Approximately 2.1 million Uzbeks traveled abroad between January and April, an increase of 404,500 people, or 23.6 percent, compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Roughly 1.7 million people visited relatives, while others traveled for leisure, medical treatment, education and business purposes, according to the committee.
