Four commuters were killed and another was injured due to head-on collision in the northern Balkh province of Afghanistan on Wednesday night, said a statement of provincial police office on Thursday.
The deadly accident took place on a road linking the provincial capital Mazar-i-Sharif to the border town of Hairatan when a car collided with a tractor coming from the opposite direction, the statement added.
Blaming reckless driving for the deadly mishap, the statement called upon drivers to respect traffic rules when driving on the highways.
