Russia's GDP has grown by more than 10 percent over the past three years, reaching 215 trillion rubles (about 2.98 trillion U.S. dollars), Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said Tuesday.

"Such achievements are first and foremost attributable to the resilience of our domestic economy. No one can deny or ignore the fact that it has maintained steady development even amid ongoing military operations," said Medvedev.

"Understandably, our adversaries had counted on the opposite outcome. Against all attempts to isolate, weaken or undermine our country, Russia remains strong and competitive," he said.

Medvedev stressed that over the past three years, growth has been driven primarily by the manufacturing sector -- particularly mechanical engineering -- rather than by extractive industries.
