Six people were injured on Monday afternoon when two cars collided on Gillenshaff in Medernach, according to the CGDIS emergency services bulletin.

The collision, reported at around 2.15pm, prompted the deployment of a rescue helicopter and an emergency doctor from Ettelbruck, alongside firefighters from Larochette, Junglinster, Waldbredimus and the Nordstad centre. Separately, firefighters in Wiltz attended a barbecue fire at around noon and a bin fire at around 4.40pm.

In Redange, smoke was reported from a switchboard. Luxembourg City firefighters attended a fire in the Pfaffenthal district. No injuries were reported in connection with any of the fires.
