The win takes Saudi Arabia's point tally to nine, placing third in the group, while Japan has already secured qualification as the first Asian team to book a spot in the World Cup. Meanwhile, China remains in sixth place with 6 points.
In Group B, Iraq and Kuwait played a 2-2 draw. Kuwait’s goals were scored by Youssef Nasser in the 39th and 70th minutes, while Iraq equalized with goals from Akam Hashim in the 90th minute and Ibrahim Bayesh in the 100th minute. Iraq now has 12 points in third place, while Kuwait sits in fifth place with 5 points.
In the same group, Jordan defeated Palestine 3-1, bringing its total to 12 points and securing second place ahead of Iraq on goal difference. Palestine remains in sixth place with 3 points.
