5 injured after shots fired in central Berlin: media

Five people were injured after shots were fired in an apartment in central Berlin on Sunday, German media BILD reported.

German news agency dpa said the incident occurred at around 5 p.m. local time in the Tiergarten district of Berlin. BILD reported that five injured people were found in the apartment, and two were believed to have sustained life-threatening injuries.

Police reportedly arrested several suspects at the scene and further investigation is underway.
