Two homes in Sydney's west were targeted in separate shootings early on Sunday morning, and police believe that both incidents are linked.
Police were called to reports of a public place shooting in Punchbowl, a suburb in Sydney's west, at around 2:45 a.m. local time on Sunday.
Officers arrived and found that several shots had been fired into the front of a home by the occupants of an unknown vehicle before it left the scene.
About 15 minutes later, police were called to a home in Greenacre, another suburb in Sydney's west, following reports of a second public place shooting.

No injuries were reported during any of the incidents. Police have established crime scenes at both locations.
