Jonathan Herrera scored a second-half winner as Deportivo Riestra stayed top of its group with a 1-0 home win over Instituto Cordoba in Argentina's Primera Division on Monday.
Herrera broke the deadlock in the 49th minute with a first-time finish that beat goalkeeper Manuel Roffo at his near post after Alexander Diaz's cross.
Instituto managed just one shot on target despite controlling almost two thirds of the total possession.
The result leaves Deportivo Riestra with 27 points from 13 games, a point ahead of second-placed Lanus in Group B. Instituto is 10th with 15 points so far.
Elsewhere in Argentina's top flight on Monday, Tigre was held to a 2-2 home draw by Barracas Central and San Lorenzo won 2-1 at Atletico Tucuman.
