24 Killed in Armed Attack on Tourists in Indian-administered Part of Kashmir

At least 24 people were killed, mostly tourists, in an armed attack in the Indian-administered part of Kashmir, a region disputed with Pakistan.

Local authorities said the attack was the worst targeting civilians in recent years, noting that the death toll was still being determined.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack in a statement, pledging to bring the perpetrators to justice.
