Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy condemned on Friday the attacks carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia's Najran Region, which injured several civilians, as well as attacks on Yemeni government force in Marib and Hadramawt.

Fahmy stated that targeting Saudi territory, endangering civilian lives, and escalating military actions inside Yemen are a “dangerous path that threatens regional security and undermines de-escalation efforts”.

He expressed the Arab League's “full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in confronting any aggression targeting its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.”

He stressed the need to halt Houthi attacks and internal escalation, calling for a cessation of hostilities, refraining from actions that broaden the confrontation, and a return to the political process to preserve Saudi security and Yemen's stability, unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The Houthis launched ballistic missiles and drones at displacement camps and residential neighborhoods in the city of Marib on Friday, killing two people and wounding 14, state news agency SABA reported, citing local authorities.

Yemen's army said early on Saturday it had responded against Houthi forces on several fronts along the lines of contact.

The attacks came a day after at least 45 Yemeni government troops ‌were killed in strikes on military camps in Marib ‌and Hadramawt provinces.
