German fashion group Hugo Boss reported second-quarter operating profit above expectations ‌on Tuesday, despite ‌subdued consumer ‌demand.

The company posted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT)of €59 million for the quarter, down from €81 million a year earlier, but above analysts' forecast ‌of €52 ‌million in a company-provided poll.

Its ‌sales declined to €905 ‌million from €1 billion a year earlier, compared with analysts' expectation of €907 million. "While ‌macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainties persist, we are encouraged by the progress achieved in the first half of the year," CEO Daniel Grieder said in a statement.

The company confirmed its full-year guidance for 2026.
